Israel Ends Inquiry

Let's see, Israel ends the internal inquiry designed to investigate indiscriminate killing by the IDF in the Gaza alleged by IDF soldiers as hearsay?

Please. The UN and human rights groups have all documented war crimes by the Israelis. What does it matter if an internal investigation bears no fruit? Israel always investigates its war crimes and always whitewashes the findings. Do we really need a NYT article to ease the mind of the pro-Israel zealots who want to have a clear conscience for the brutal murder of 938 civilians? 3 Israeli civilians were killed by rocket fire.

Iran Ordered to Pay $50 Million for Wachsman

I was not familiar with the details of this case, but a few thoughts popped into my head while reading this article.

#1 If a US citizen joins a foreign army and something bad happens to that person as a result, then why are the US courts deliberating on this?

It seems that when John Walker Lindh joined the Taliban he forfeited his rights as a US citizen, so why does Wachsman deserve special treatment?

#2 If Iran can be held responsible for the actions of Hamas without a shred of proof of material support, and the US arms Israel (which is a matter of public record) which just committed egregious war crimes against the Gazan population (as asserted by the UN and independent human rights groups) then should the US not be held accountable by applying the same standard?

This case stinks of arrogant double-standards.

Emanuel's Profits from Freddie Mac

Is this the norm or the exception to the rule? From what Americans are finding out about their bankers and investment brokers and the role that lobbyists play in our political system, I would venture to think these types of advantages are systemic.

Israeli Use of Human Shields

Big surprise, another Israeli war crime. Add it to the ever-lengthening list ...

Dollar hegemony threatened again? Time for another war to save our fiat money.

Neil Wolin ; Deputy Secretary Treasury

Evidently to work in the Federal Reserve System or the Treasury you must be one of God's Chosen people. I guess God does not trust the Goyim with fiat currency control.

Why won't someone just come right out and say it? I am tired of this political correctness BS.

The Most "Moral" Army in the World !

Israel claims that it has the most moral army in the world. With the revelations that have come out in the past few days about Israeli soldiers targeting basically everybody, this article does not surprise me but does anger me and Americans should know how their tax dollars are being spent. What disgusting people there are in the world.

Israeli Soldiers Allege Indiscrimnate Killing

When Israeli soldiers claim that they had a carte blanche to kill whomever in Gaza perhaps we should listen to them. This problem is systemic and not the exception to the rule. Look at the IDF's behavior in Lebanon, the Occupied Territories, in Gaza, and form the complete picture. It ain't pretty and it takes courage to stand up and say the things these Israeli soldiers are saying.

Israel's deterrence capacity has been restored, but at too great a human cost!

Israeli War Crimes Confirmed ... What Will Happen Now?

For people that followed the Israeli destruction of Gaza the findings by the special UN rapporteur on Human Rights Richard Falk are not surprising. I am glad that Haaretz was bold enough to print the article. But will the NYT do the same? Will Obama's Chief of Staff make a statement, since his father served in a Zionist terror group? Will Wolf Blitzer on CNN's Situation Room discuss the war crimes? Will Paula Zahn? Will Chris Wallace? Will Siegenthaler? Will Abrams? Will Joe Lieberman discuss this on the floor of the Senate? Will Diane Feinstein? Will Chuck Schumer? Will Arlen Specter? Will Ros-Lehtinen broach the subject on the floor of the House? Will Steve Israel? Will Anthony Weiner? Will Wasserman-Schultz? Will Steven Spielberg make a movie about the Gaza war crimes? Will David Geffen? Will Mortimer Zuckerman run the article in the US News and World Report? Will Alan Dershowitz include it in his next plagiarism? Will Bill Kristol run it in the Weekly Standard? I wonder if Norman Podhoretz's Commentary will run a special edition? Will Krauthammer dedicate 2 minutes of his gaseous commentary on this issue? Will Thomas Friedman wow us with his eloquent but vacuous vocabulary on the subject of Israeli war crimes?

Or will they all remain silent?

But I guarantee the aforementioned will be full of comments when the Palestinians resist the expanded settlements, blockades, and occupation by the brutal racist and terrorist nation that stole their land.

Eventually this report will disappear down the Orwellian memory hole, and focus can be placed once more on Hamas , Hezbollah, and Iran, and Syria, and so on and so forth.

Israel's Cyber-Soldiers

Not surprising. Here's a question : rather than have so many convoluted methods for preserving an Israeli public image that differs wildly from reality on the ground, why doesn't Israel simply change its behavior? It's a bit arrogant to think that the whole world ought to change their moral compass so as to view Israel in a positive light as opposed to simply stop doing murderous, criminal, and self-defeating things.

AIPAC and Freeman

Nice timeline and background and details on who originated the character assassination ; an Israeli spy. No ! Really ?

Some Things ARE Basic

Nice essay on Zionism as the root of the problem of the current conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians. It would be nice to see this essay on the front page of the LA Times, but I'll take it!

Rachel Corrie Anniversary Tribute

Here is some non-mainstream commentary which should serve as a tribute to the life and death of Rachel Corrie and other human rights advocates who courageously stood up to the Israeli Terror Machine and lost.
Their blood was spilled deliberately because Israel does not recognize the sanctity of non-Jewish blood.

More Bonuses for Bailout Companies

That tax dollars are used for this should incite every American to pick up a gun and storm the capitol buildings at all levels. This is garbage, and enough should be enough already. We are working harder and corporate greed and mismanagement is funded by our hard work, and they are smoking cubans and sipping champagne on a beach somewhere? Americans need to stop staring at their colons and get angry. Like the old Network movie ... I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

More Commentary on Freeman's Sacking

Dreyfuss makes some good points, albeit redundant, in the article on Common Dreams.

Charles Freeman IS Correct

Read Charles Freeman's comments on AIPAC's role in his withdrawal. Pretty sad actually, and yet some people (pro-Israel zealots) there is no such thing as an Israeli lobby!

Thought Police Win Another Victory

Criticize Israel and you are gone. Schumer did not like his comments, even though his comments were accurate. Schumer would rather have the US being a terrorist target than to change policy with the Israelis and Palestinians. Makes me wonder exactly where Chuck Schumer's loyalties are.

And Steve Rosen, who should be in prison at the moment, somehow gets a say-so in this affair? His blog makes it to the Weekly Standard, Kristol's little neocon magazine, and from there momentum against Freeman grows.

This is all rubbish. The thought police are winning the battles, in the government, in the media, on the internet, etc.

Not Enough for a Bomb

Not enough and not weapons grade. Ergo no bomb. This report is in line with the NIE from 18 months ago. Casus belli is gone ... again.

Holy Mackerel ! The NYT Allows A Dissenting Narrative

I simply cannot believe that this article was published in the NYT. Cohen makes the obvious points that some of us have been making for years. What is so surprising is that you don't have to rummage through underground media sites or blogsites to find these comments.

Hallelujah , said Cohen.

Big Surprise

Foreign banks benefit from the AIG bailout, no kidding? I am astonished, shocked and speechless. LOL !

This is no surprise to me.

Closed Zone by Yoni Goodman

Poignant 90-second animation created by Yoni Goodman on the Israeli control of Gazan borders. The Israeli actions against a defenseless population in Gaza put an exclamation point on Yoni's animation.

Policy Shift ?

It seems that the Obama administration understands that US security is tied to doing the right thing in Palestine. At least the rhetoric is more balanced than it was under Bush's tenure. We shall see. If this does indeed represent a policy shift, I say about time the US views the problem properly. And although the domestic decisions made by this admin spell our ruination, at least they are doing something right in foreign policy.

An Article on Iranian Jews

Interesting take by Roger Cohen who threatens the basis for the bellicose statements made by the West against Iran. Perhaps people ought to rethink their positions and not buy into the mad desperation offered by Netanyahu and neocons in the West.
