Madoff's Non-Clientele

A nice article here on the institutions that did not invest with Madoff, pronounced "Made-off" which is very apt. What I want to know is if a purse-snatcher on the street stole a purse from a woman with a few hundred bucks and got caught, where would he be? On house arrest at home? Nope, in the slammer. How this man swindled so many to the tune of $50 billion total and gets house arrest in a $7 million apartment is beyond me. His ass ought to be under the damn apartment, or let his cheated clients decide his fate.

It is not just that a "rich" thief gets to rest out his days in his $7 million apartment while a poor thief gets it in the a-s in prison for stealing a gazillion times less. Our society has to be revamped to allow for the difference between the two thieves, for sure. Maybe, hopefully, the FBI and the CIA are allowing this dredge of society to stay in his apartment so that they can recuperate the billions lost for the investors who invested with him. We can hope that this is their agenda, but I am weary of hoping when it comes to our government officials.
